Landfills Construction
Ecomed has achieved in Romania the construction of a non dangerous waste landfill with an area of approximately 4 hectares. For the non dangerous wastes landfill construction Ecomed made the works of the landfill’s base levelling; landfill’s perimeter dike execution; landfill’s base waterproofing execution, using a three layers system of geosynthetic clay liner , HDPE liner and geotextile liner; the execution of a leachate drainage and collection system to a wastewater treatment plant, and a gutter system to collect rainwaters. This landfill allows the waste storage in good conditions, without contaminating the environment.
Later, when the landfill will reach its storage capacity, Ecomed wil make the capping works of the non dangerous waste landfill.
Also Ecomed can provide design and execution services of hazardous waste landfills; municipal landfills additionally fitted with biogas collection system and wastewater treatment plants , which the landfills are proveded with , for the treatment of the leachate collected by drainage systems. In this way, Ecomed provides to its clients the whole range of services related to safe waste storage , dangerous or non dangerous, in compliance with EU rules on environmental protection.
